A mother and her primary school children flee the from the fires surrounding their town by going out to sea on their boat in Australia not knowing what’s going to be left on land when they come back. Source: ABC Gippsland. And yes it is daytime in this photo.

My friend, you missed the point. RBN up there said people are too fucking dumb to realize and do anything about what's going on. They're wrong. I think most people know, and most people are completely helpless. More and more of us are just struggling to survive day-to-day. Personally, I'm well aware of what's going on- probably more acutely aware than most people, because (A) I'm from the far north and grew up in a traditional lifestyle that isn't possible anymore, and (B) I'm highly educated and paying close attention. I'm suffering for this apocalypse. It weighs on me. But I didn't cause it, and I can't stop it. I'm not the ultra-rich and politicians don't listen to me. And yes, I've tried making myself heard anyway. I've tried being a politician. This is a death spiral; it's fueling itself. I don't know what the solution is, but I do know that individuating responsibility is the opposite of a solution. Pointing fingers at your fellow sufferers is not helpful. Political division is not helpful.
