Mother in-law made racist comments in front of my child. I yelled at her for it.

Wait what? This poor dude can't win for losing. He's been using polite words for ages, to no effect. Finally gets pushed to the breaking point when his MIL actually gets even MORE racist, and his wife completely leaves him without support in the argument. She tries to shut him down, spends an entire day coddling the racist for having her feewings hurt, then comes and attacks her husband in his own home on the racist's behalf, and again his polite words do nothing. What else has he got left??? Whether the wife is in the FOG or not, that is a disgusting level of marital betrayal and for you to suggest he should even WANT her to "feel wanted" is pretty insulting.
