Mother tried to bring baby into a sex store

I feel like you're coming to a flawed conclusion from a good place there. Sure, laws often make little logical sense, and sometimes they're based on old-fashioned feelings and thoughts, but the fact of the matter is that we don't fully know what infants understand (they can't really tell us precisely what they're thinking), and what they're capable of internalizing. Kids are information-sponges, and a lot of things, even seemingly innocuous things, can have lasting effects.

Sure, nudity on its own is not a bad thing or inherently inappropriate, but it's nevertheless not the norm in western society, and there is no telling WHAT one might come across in a sex shop, including people who are far from harmless in a quite sexually charged environment. To err on the side of caution is, imo, never a bad thing.
