I've been learning for six months, bit the first couple of months we're on and off and then I stopped because I was trying to over achieve. When I started up again I found I had to redo some of the lessons I had down perfectly before because I forgot a bit of grammar. So I decided I'd just start over from the beginning. I had a real easy time with that. So as not to overwork myself though, I've been doing one lesson a night (instead of 5 to 10), so I'm going pretty slow but I'm making progress. Because of this I haven't learned too much, but when I can I take a lesson on YouTube for informal japanese. I don't have a definitive goal as of yet, but I'd like to go to Japan having mastered the language.
My default resource is LingoDeer, a mobile app. I got it in beta so I have premium for free, the perk of this app is that with premium you can learn offline.
