Mount Allison university cuts gender studies.

Besides, some people just hate STEM. There's no use going into a field you don't want to be in.

STEM. Science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Trades are skilled labor. Nothing to do with STEM. STEM isn't just a bucket for "shit I don't like, don't want to do and want to complain about."

Trades includes things such as:

  • Dental Hygienist, Sonographer, Registered Nurse (Around $70k/yr)

  • Web Developer, Respiratory Therapist, Cardiovascular Technologist, Electrician, Plumber, Commercial Diver, Paralegal or Legal Assistant, HVAC Technician (Around $55+k/yr)

  • Surgical Technologist, Heavy Equipment Operator, Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse, Medical Laboratory Technician (Around $40k/yr)

And then again, there's also: Construction Manager, Rotary Drill Operator for the Oil and Gas Industry, Boilermaker, Aircraft Mechanic, Avionics Technician, Pile-Driver Operator, Pipefitter, or Steamfitter, Crane Operator, Wind Turbine Technician, Millwright, Brick Mason, Commercial Diver, Industrial Machinery Mechanic, CNC Machine Tool Programmer, Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Construction Equipment Operator, HVAC Technician, Carpenter, Diesel Mechanic, Auto Body Repairer, Welder, Automotive Mechanic, Funeral Service Manager, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Commercial Pilot (Non-Airline), Police Officer, Architectural Drafter, Diesel Mechanic, etc, etc, etc ...

Those are all jobs which ARE done by men and women, year round. Look, sure, they're not glamorous, they don't make you "hot shit", but you they are respectable jobs, for respectable people, who work day in and day out, instead of complaining that they didn't get a job exactly like they wished existed. Not everyone will because an astronaut, not everyone will get to be the president of the USA, get over it.

If you are just being picky, then you are spoiled, that's not "life is wrong", it's you, it's all you, you're what wrong, you're the one dreaming up of that bullshit job, which doesn't exist, which would be filled by anyone else than you, who is holding one of the job I already listed, way before you, because they've already shown work ethics.

The internet is not equivalent to learning a degree and becoming part of academia.

Not, and not everything needs to have a degree, and not everything needs to be part of academia. If academia doesn't serve a purpose, then IT'S A HOBBY. You can't just pick a hobby, and expect that someone somewhere will just decide to pay you to play around with your hobby. Do you know how insulting that sounds to the hard workers all around the world? You are just whining that you aren't privileged enough, while you fuck around in school, doing the equivalent of underwater basket weaving, while being propped up by money being paid in taxes by hard working people? You know why people just don't like those degree? Because they keep seeing kids fucking around for 4 years, and then whining that they have to pay back a huge load, because they degree in fuckarounitis isn't welcomed anywhere.

If you want a hobby, hit the internet, stop burdening society with your damn hobbies.

Besides, some people just hate STEM. There's no use going into a field you don't want to be in.

Yes there is, the "use" is "to pay the bills", you spoiled entitled brat.
The only thing you did is convince me that you you were born with a silver cutlery set for ten in your mouth.
