Move back with parents, quit my job, and go back to school?

I worked with a film major once in an IT organization. He had taught himself programming and earned the job. Do you need a certificate in web design to work in that field? Would you be better off going back for a second major or even a minor in computer science or something else that would be more broad and require less credits and time? Have you found the job you’d want after going back to school and checked the requirements and pay? Hell, have you even applied to one and been rejected? The interview will help you plan for your future here in a big way. If the education is required and the pay will support you with good job prospects then go back to school and continue to work part time if you can. If the education is not required or you could get a lower role and work your way up I’d do that as you may learn more on the job and be exposed to specific training that’s more valuable. That’s what it’s like in my industry (IT). No one cares what your degree is in, most have CS, but there are economics, finance, sociology, and other majors who just learned to do the job and have completed continuing education through their careers. If a second major or minor is possible with some additional credits I’d do that if it would satisfy the job requirements and add in an html or other online course for a line on the resume. This isn’t specific advice for a web design career, but my uneducated opinion of that field is it got flooded with certificate holders a few years ago and wages dropped when the excitement wore off. If it’s lucrative these days and there are specific requirements then proceed how you need to meet them.
