There is a lot of internal politics involved with this convergence. At the moment I can’t ask those involved in the cyber threat Intel side of the house without making it clear that I don’t have any qualifications - which puts the whole convergence project in a difficult place. I should stress, this is internal politics which has swept me up - I for one think being qualified for a job is important. Leadership will take you so far, but competence in the skill set for the job counts for a lot (at least for me). This isn’t an area I had expected to be managing, hence now trying to see what are the best routes through for qualifications/certifications.
