Moving to Nash for work. What should I know?

That’s a bit extreme considering you’ve never even visited. I hope you really love your job. Where are you coming from? If it’s somewhere else in the south you’ll probably be fine. I lived in the north my entire life until this past December and this is my experience so far: It’s fun and exciting in the beginning. There are a lot of events going on around the city so with any ambition you can always find something to do. The honeymoon phase wears off just like anywhere else I’m sure. People generally are rude and not very intelligent here. I’m sure a lot of the people I’ve gotten that vibe from are transplants as well. A lot of the city is catered towards basic bros and basic bitches. Instagram > infrastructure. Downtown is mostly unenjoyable after awhile due to pedal taverns, bachelorettes hanging out of some tractor contraption, or tourists on scooters. From what I’ve heard and what I’ve experienced, people vote against their best interests here. While it’s a blue bubble, it’s still surrounded by red. You’ll hear a million times how awful the traffic is. It’s true and getting around by bike or on foot is dangerous. Fuck scooters. Dating is not great here unless you’re a basic bro and very religious.

It was probably not the best move for me considering I’m in my early thirties but I wanted the job I came for. If I’m to get married and start a family, my other half would need to be well off. I make a little over 60 a year but if I want to buy a decent house or ever send kids to a decent school I’d have to find a sugar mama. It’s still enjoyable some days which is great because I’ll need to stay until I land a great job somewhere else.
