Mr. Money Mustache

Yeah, I guess the first FIRE blog you stumble across is always a revelation. I found MMM after reading other FIRE blogs and books so for me he was just recycling the same FIRE advice but with a different personality behind the writing. I'm a single income, single parent who wanted to live financially comfortably, debt free, own property, and get my children through college debt free so they could start their adult lives from point 0 and not in the red. That's tough on a single income, so FI was where it was at for me, and the -RE part wasn't on my radar at first. My first FIRE books and blogs were a revelation to me. I guess MMM just never resonated that much because I'd already read all the usual saving/investing advice.
