MRW reading Trump's Iran tweet as a healthy 19yo male

im writing this in response regardless of visibility. I used to think this exact same thing all the time during my 10 year military career. During my time in the army I saw several dozen people who would come fresh into a unit and hate it there. I would think "shit, you signed up for this suck it up". but these same people would eventually either cause trouble in a unit or get themselves discharged somehow. I could never imagine hundreds of the same kind of people being forced into a unit. It would make it extremely hard for a unit to function correctly and be effective.

I can see how the us lost Vietnam because of low morale and apathetic people. the draft is a horrible idea nowadays. It may have worked during ww2 because of patriotism after pearl harbor, but for any other war it would be a disaster.
