Chris Matthews represents everything that is toxic in today's Democratic Party. He is the establishment. He is the living embodiment of the "Myth of the Moderate".
He was accused of sexual harassment in 1999.
He compared Bernie Sanders supporters to Nazis.
He is openly right wing when it comes to fiscal issues. He doesn't even try to hide it. With a net-worth of $20 million, he is firmly in the 0.1% of earners.
He voted for George W. Bush in 2000.
He was responsible for more misogynistic treatment of Hillary Clinton in 2008 than any other reporter. He referred to her as a "she-devil" and said she was only a frontrunner because "her husband messed around".
Matthews has built a career on mythologizing Irish-American Catholic men and promoting right wing monetary policies that favor his own wealth bracket.
His only credibility comes from his veneer of "social liberalism". Though it's pretty clear now that he is an unrepentant misogynist and will fiercely protect others like him.
Clearly he is going full kamikaze in the hope of getting Joe Biden into office.
I am a Florida supporter who supports both Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. Thanks to people like Chris Matthews, I will never vote for a "Centrist" candidate.
