If we have limited time and bandwidth to create bonus items (Player Banners being the primary Season Rewards, with GEs being the bonus items) doesn't it make more sense for us to have a top-level bonus item that includes the top, say, 5%-10% of players as opposed to the top 1.5%? It's hard for us to justify giving a Goal Explosion, which is the hardest customization item for us to make (second place goes to animated Decals), to only 1.5% of the competitive player population when its designed to be a bonus item on top of the full slate of Season Rewards. Getting all three Goal Explosions still puts you in the top 10ish%.
