Why so much hate on wizards?

I know you did say you were playing a wiz this season, but just a correction to help you understand, season 5 is over and we are waiting for season 6 to start. What you are playing is the season 5 patch and the PTR is what the season 6 patch will most look like. But we are between seasons at the moment.

As for the lag you might be seeing people talk about, that would probably be coming from people playing on the PTR because its known to have bad connections for a lot of people. Its not setup for actual retail product play, its for testing and not as good of a setup.

Now, on wizard hate, that is a seasonal hate. Seasons were not always a thing for Diablo3, but when Blizzard did make a season ladder some classes were wanted more then others. Wizards have only recently become wanted as a class in group play in seasons. Season 1 - 3 was dominated by Demon Hunters, then Season 4 was the season of the monk. That brings us to Season 5 where wizards finally became the must have, and it looks like Season 6 is going to be the same way. Wizard DPS a must and then a bunch of support for the rest of the group is going to make everyone hate the Wizard except those that have always play Wizards. But even us Wizard players hate it because its a build we are forced to play that is not all that enjoyable, and is everyone else is support. Thats makes 4 ppl that are trying to get on the leaderboards but they are all unhappy playing the way they are forced to play because of what Blizzard did with the Wizard.

Blizzard was trying to make Wizards a class for group play and in doing so, with the changes they made, made the Wizard a MUST HAVE. We Wizards are now forced into group play with a unliked build that uses gimmicks to DPS along with placement of bosses to beat the timers that end up ranking us in the season ladder.

Wizards miss old fun builds, all the other classes miss being able do DPS at all, and the Demon Hunters have been completely kicked out of groups after they were use to being coveted by everyone for the first 3 seasons. Not to mention, everyone has forgotten there is even a Crusaders class out that that could be used for groups.

Something like that.
