A much needed PSA

Just got back from seeing it for the second time and I have to agree. Admittedly the first time I saw the film I was too busy fangirl-ing out to be too critical, but this time I was trying to see what the critics were complaining about and I just... couldn't. It's like we watched two different movies. The monster fights were amazing (I didn't find the cutaways to human action distracting), the characters were likable and served their role very well (I actually found Mark Russell's arc quite well-done), and I think the mythology of the the Titans as some kind of elder-god pantheon to be cool as hell (some of the Sumerian imagery shown in the film makes me think that they may be identifying Godzilla as Tiamat, which would be super creative and interesting).

Literally my biggest complaint with the entire movie is that Serizawa's fortune cookie joke was in slightly poor taste. That's it.
