Mueller tells House panel Trump asked staff to falsify records

Was it political suicide for Democrats when they began proceedings to impeach Nixon? Was it political suicide when Republicans impeached Clinton? And neither of those impeachments were based on crimes as serious as Trump's. In the case of Clinton, there were no negative political consequences of note for Republicans - in fact GW Bush was elected in the next election. Being too scared isn't a reason. It's the constitutional duty of Congress to hold the executive accountable. And I have to say, if I was a Democratic Congressperson, I would feel pretty embarrassed if I was afraid of the electoral consequences of voting for impeachment of Trump. This is by faaaaar the worst, most corrupt, most inept, most unethical, most criminal Presidential administration in history. And Democrats are still afraid that the people of America might still prefer Trump than them? That's really depressing.
