Climate Change! Environment! One-use plastic!

I care about Climate Change and I care about our environment; because I do care and I am trying to make a difference. I have chosen not to use election signs. I believe that the use of plastic signs is an archaic practice; they provide zero value to the community other than an elaborate popularity contest. I have been asked how I will reduce emissions; I am doing my part!

And thanks to this decision I am in the position to refuse any donations that have been offered (other than volunteers.) Donations, another archaic practice, collecting large sums of money from people or organizations to get you into office; candidates should disclose who they owe favours to and where their loyalties lay.

While the other candidates play hide-and-seek behind their signs and big budgets. I have focused my campaign on being out on the street, meeting people face to face, listening to their concerns and answering their questions; and using Facebook to spread my message. I have gained more traction without spending a cent than the other candidates have with their Fifty Thousand Dollar budget. Peterborough! Do you want a mayor who knows how to spend money, or a mayor who knows how to work efficiently and effectively in today’s market?
