Murder in Turkey sparks outrage over rising violence against women (The Guardian)

Our struggles to reduce crimes against women won't end till we belive we won't face any troubles. I don't feel safe and I want to feel safe.

Sorry to break it to you but you will never feel completely safe unless you live in isolation so I suggest you grow a pair and live with courage.

I'm not saying this just because you're a woman. Male homicide and assault is worse than female assault and homicide. Everytime I'm in traffic, I'm under the risk of getting assaulted by some maniac with a bat, gun or shotgun just because I occupied the left lane or made a turn he didn't like (if you follow the news you'll know what I'm talking about). I feel less safe than you do (hence I carry a bat in my car at all times and own firearms myself because just in case). There's nothing you can do. You can move to America or France and you still won't feel any safer. In fact you'll feel much less safe on the streets at night. I lived in New York, Boston, Los Angeles, been to London and Paris; Istanbul is much safer than many "glamorous" Western capitals or big cities.

Unfortunately this is the world we live in and educated or uneducated doesn't matter.
