Muscle gain on a daily calorie deficit while intermittent fasting?

If it takes 72 hours for a meal to be fully digested, is there a relatively constant level of nutrient absorption and utilisation throughout those 72 hours? Or is a larger percentage of that meal absorbed in the first 6/12/24/? hours, and then it tapers off?

Read my initial comment again. In particular:

During this very long journey, it moves through various areas of your body, and their job is to try and extract nutrients from the job in various ways. This also takes time, and is called absorption rate. On top of that, your body being a very wonderful machine, when the workload is too great for the absorption rate to handle, it is able to store the nutrients temporarily so that it has time to chew them down later.
