[musings] confess your watch snobbery

Maybe they do indeed shop at the same places.

I'm assaulted by the guard bringing me back to the cold, hard reality of the watches of the non-watch lover.

Well, at least they like them. There is a watch for everybody, and that is a good thing for watch lovers, isn't it?

I then feel like the annoying elitist douche snob that I surely am, and I feel bad about it, and it just messes up my whole morning.

Well, if they are wearing things that are overpriced and can be replaced by something much better that has the same function, that would be one thing, but if you don't like the type of watch itself, that may be some snobbery.

I saw a Diesel watch in a shop a while back. It was huge and it had a busy..."dial". It was hard to see what was what under the glass. Now, I could say that is a piece of garbage, but there simply isn't a "real" watch like it, so it is probably the best for what it is.

So if what these people wear are the best for what they are, you can question their tastes, to be sure, but they could questions yours just as well.

But they disappoint me. I'd have hoped they'd have gone for high quality watches, whether they be big and bulky like some G-Shocks, or small and refined.
