Between November 28th 2020 and January the 8th 2021 I Ccd Claire murdoch the head of mental health on the NHS on all my email exchanges while lodging a complaint against my GP surgery for discrimniation against me.
For 2.5 years I saved emails and recorded phonecalls of interactions with my GP surgery. I documented every instance of discrimination, the hostility when I called to make appointments, the ignoring of emails, the IT issues they claimed delayed my treatment, every excuse imaginable to explain the chain of events except the truth. They even pretended they didn't recieve an MRI I had abroad to check for prostate cancer and ignored my medical records i sent from abroad.
Treatment for physical health conditions was made difficult intentionallt and I was forced off lithium against my will when I returned to the UK from working abroad in switzerland. A drug I've taken for 5 years continuously for bipolar disorder which destabalised my mood due to abrupt cessation triggering worst depression of my life when I have had a stable mood otherwise for years.
I documented a clear pattern of discrimination. And when I complained they denied it and gaslighted me, I carried out subject access requests gained access to recordings and evidence, secretly recorded the practice manager and i painted a picture of clear discrimination and disproved their denials that it didn't occur. The psychiatrist recording contradicted my GP practice manager recording for example ie being told the psychiatrist didn't ask my doctor to prescribe it then a recording that proved they told me they asked him to prescribe it but he refused.
And I emailed it all to the head of mental health on the NHS. I'm an educated middle class white male so I can only imagine what minority mental health patients face.
I did it to document the experience of a mental health patient and the discrimination I faced over several years. They forced me off a medication against my will, destabalised my mood all because they decided they didn't want to do blood tests in a pandemic then denied it happened after I complained.
Mental health care in the UK is unbelievably inadequate. I have recieved healthcare in 5 countries and never been treated like this anywhere else but the UK. The see mental health patients as subhuman it is barbaric.
I'm glad that it is finally being overhauled but it should have been done years ago.
I now buy the medication I need online from Russia for multiple health conditions so I don't have to interact with the NHS again and Deregistered as a patient at my GP surgery... I would have sued them but the stress of their lying wasn't good for my health. But I think I suitably embarrassed them.
