My 10 year old son passed away this morning and the world just collapsed beneath me

I recently watched After Life on Netflix. If you haven't seen it you should give it a shot. I think you'll be able to relate to Ricky Gervais' character as he is wanting to kill himself after losing the love of his life to cancer. But in case you don't watch it, I want to share just a couple lines from the show that really resonated with me.

"You’re in pain. The thing you lost, is the same thing that can stop that pain"

The pain you're experiencing is unfathomable for most. There are people who share the same pain. Find them. They'll be the only ones who can understand and possibly provide comfort for you.

"It’s worth sticking around to maybe make my corner of the world a slightly better place. "

You're still here. You can honor your son's memory. Your life is still important and valued. You have a lot of strangers who are willing to help you fight for your life without even knowing you because your life matters. I'm so sorry you're having to bear this burden. It's every parent's worst fear and I know you would've traded places with him if you could have.

You and your family are in my heart tonight and I'm sure I speak for many on here, if there's anything any of us can do to help or lessen the load, please let us know.
