My (29M) boyfriend is thinking about breaking up with me (26F) over his health issues

How about stop trying to control what a grown man eats. Just because yiur a med student doesn’t mean you should criticize everything about his lifestyle. Seems like you’re extremely critical of him. Not everyone can just stop habits or pick up new ones so quickly. He suggested cooking separate meals, because you’re too controlling with food. Is that an enjoyable experience for him? I don’t think so. You’re stressing him out.You sound like his mom. There’s a difference between being controlling and being helpful. You should worry about YOUR OWN HEALTH, and let him BE HIMSELF. You’re not his doctor. I feel bad for him to be honest. If you can accept him for who he is NOW- you should find someone else. He’s not one of your patients at school.
