What has been his response when you told him in the past?

I have the same issue with my husband. No kids, but a needy dog, cat, and multiple aquariums. I don't mind cleaning up after the furry ones, because they're mostly mine anyway. But I have to get on him for cleaning his aquariums constantly, and i clean up after him as well. I plan all our meals, do all of the shopping, laundry, and trash. The only thing he consistently does is the bills, and even with that he needs reminding. In his case I think it's both that he's spoiled (mom never made him clean thoroughly), and he has ADHD. So he doesn't get angry if I ask him to do things but I am so sick of HAVING to ask him. /vent
