My (43f) daughter Julia (26f) feels that I didn't give her a very good childhood and I am worried that she is right. How do I fix things with her?

This is why science and factually based sexual education should be required for everyone starting in elementary school. This is why contraceptives should be free and easily accessible. This is why abortion should be easily accessible.

You think that's too early? One of my closest friends to this day got her period when she was 9 years old when we were in third grade. She thought she was dying because her parents thought she was too young to learn about "adult" issues. As an adoptee whose biological mother was a teen that put me up for adoption, whose biological mother was almost forced into marriage, she made the right choice. Homelessness for yourself is better than bringing a child into an abusive situation. I have zero sympathy for OOP. If you're old enough to open your legs you're old enough to face the consequences*. When you get pregnant as a teen, the only responsible choice is adoption, no matter the circumstances for the "mother".

*unless you've been sexually abused
