My 77 year old grandmother just became a Canadian citizen! So happy for her!

As a Canadian in the highest tax bracket. I am glad that we have provided this women the opportunity to spend the last few years of her life in peace and not having to worry about healthcare bills.

Do you know why I don't complain about paying taxes here?

1) My life is dope and easy and full of opportunity.
2) I can get cancer tomorrow and be taken care of immediately and not have to worry about increasing insurance rates or refinancing my home. 3) I was taught it's important to help people less fortunate than you. My taxes are one way I get to do that. 4) When my girlfriend and I decide to have a kid, we share up to 12 months off, plus an additional 8 weeks on the end to help whomever took the mat/pat an easier time to go back to work. 5) I have more freedom than almost any country. Seriously, no one really fucks with your shit and I don't have a for-profit prison system lobbying to keep people locked up.

Is it perfect here. No there is no such thing. But it's probably the closet thing you can get.
