My 9 year old wanted the AJ 1 Chicago’s. Couldn’t justify the cost, so I bought the all whites and some leather paint.

I can’t believe you bought him all whites anyways lol. You must have have a very large amount of money, or are just a way nicer person than my parents. I’m 12 and recently got white yeezys, but my mom only spent $100 of the money, while I spent the rest (like $180.) it’ll be my only pair of shoes, while most parents will spend around $400 and up and multiple pairs of shoes. The yeezys are expensive for one pair, but can be far more than justified when considering how many shoes other people buy, like tennis shoes, basketball shoes, soccer cleats, running shoes, and like 50 pairs of flip flops. Maybe it’s just you and all my friends, but something doesn’t seem quite right here. My parents own a business, they’re quite successful, and they buy super expensive stuff for themselves in a heartbeat, while in best buy or whatever. Is it normal for people to be spending hundreds for their children on shoes?
