My annoying co-worker killed it with Isagenix last year.

Sure, but it's still not the place of educators. Like, if the schools in your community suck, it would still be weird for someone to say, "Why don't auto mechanics teach people to read and do basic math when they go in to get their oil changed?" The fact that your schools aren't working is a problem, but pushing it onto unrelated professions is a poor answer at best. If nothing else, there are at least as many useless, shitty school teachers are there are useless, shitty parents.

High school teachers got into the job to teach math. They can't be expected to pick up the slack for all the useless parents in the world. I don't have a better solution or anything, don't get me wrong. It's just the fallout of how we do things now. Both parents need to work, so more kids than ever are raised by school, daycare and TV. But those are not replacements for what parents are meant to teach.
