As I said, depression is a terrible disease. But it is not fatal, and it is treatable with the right regimen. That perceived pain is just that: perceived. The honest truth is that life is worth living and there is happiness to be found, even if the chemicals in your brain are telling you otherwise.

We don’t let people with dementia play in traffic because they’re not of sound mind to make that decision. Depressed people are very much the same. Their chemicals are causing them to think irrationally. As do plenty diseases of the brain.
