Yes our news is censored but not like an authoritarian censorship.

Our news is owned by mega corporations, even the local news stations. These corporations are politically involved either the DNC or the RNC. So for example:

Fox News is a big corporate owned "infotainment" a word they invented to get around being classified as news and thus not subject to restrictions or legal liability when they lie.

So fox news, being a republican news channel isn't going to bash a republican president, no matter how dumb he is. They will instead either not report things (most common), double down on stories that hurt the other side and they spin spin spin to blame it on democrats. They frequently pander to conspiracy nuts. They have mastered doublespeak.

Then there's CNN, which is the Democrat version of Fox news. So instead of talking about Biden's allegations against him, they just talk Trump 24x7. They also like to cheat on political debates.

So basically you got mega news corps that won't do stories that reflect bad on their own subsidiaries, donors and political party. All of them like to pretend that they aren't biased but all of them are. They aren't going to run a story on a company of some executive's friend.

Then you got ABC News (owned by Disney) who puts their need for celebrity access and gossip, above real stories, like one where Prince Andrew is having sex with minors.
