My boyfriend (45m) is claiming he doesn’t know how to shop for groceries.

Year ago, I was in a relationship with my bf for ONE YEAR -

His family was coming into town with some of their friends - they had rented an RV and were doing the cross country thing. He called me and asked me to straighten up so he wouldn't be embarrassed. I went over and the place was trashed. I cleaned up every single room - at least 5 hrs of scrubbing, vacuuming, putting things away, laundry, etc.,... THEN I went to the grocery store/ farmer's market 3 times to get food to cook for 8 people. I worked from 6 am until about 8 pm when they left. My bf never once said thank you. I cornered him and demanded he reimburse me for the food and alcohol - he is a pilot making $150k then- he tried to brush past me and I shoved him and demanded the money and appreciation. He paid me but never gave me the appreciation.

I left him not long after. He would not have been a good life partner, certainly not a good person to have children with or grow old with.

After we broke up - he triumphantly dumped me and then tried to get me back 6 months later after I had met the man I would marry- he realized what he had and I had realized how much better my life was without him. Don't marry a child. Don't marry someone who is using you only to make their life better. At no point in your post have you mentioned that you love him. Do better.
