Yes you are. Some think this is okay (eg your boyfriend), I agree with you that it’s not right and is unhealthy. You have every right to be concerned and bothered. And he’s basically threatening to kill himself so that you will compromise on what’s important to you - what if he brings up suicide everytime you tell him to stop what’s bothering you? Where will it end? Sometimes we may like people a lot and they may mean a lot to us but if they’re not willing to compromise on things that are important and show signs of toxic behaviour, then that’s a sign of incompatibility and is a dealbreaker. People in a relationship should be happy, if you are not happy or one person’s happiness is at the expense of another, it makes no sense for the relationship to exist.
