My brother passed away tonight. I would appreciate any prayers.

Small Reddit world brother. I woke up at 4:08 am, wide awake and then looked at my phone (it’s always on silent) and Just then got a message from your other brother with a picture of me and Mikey holding our first born children together telling me he had passed. As you know I have a different take on this existence than most, but one thing I do know is that this scripture has always rang true for me:

11 Now, concerning the state of the soul between death and the resurrection—Behold, it has been made known unto me by an angel, that the spirits of all men, as soon as they are departed from this mortal body, yea, the spirits of all men, whether they be good or evil, are taken home to that God who gave them life. 12 And then shall it come to pass, that the spirits of those who are righteous are received into a state of happiness, which is called paradise, a state of rest, a state of peace, where they shall rest from all their troubles and from all care, and sorrow.

Mikey was welcomed home by grandpa, Bob, Bruce, Tim, my cousin Christopher, my other grandparents (who he came and stayed with several times) and many others. His addiction was healed by the atonement, and he is moving forward reaching his true potential. I am sure of this. He fought for Jehovah before the world was, he served an honorable mission, he loved others and his family, he had a good heart and a willingness to help. There’s no doubt what his reward shall be. We came to this world knowing that struggles were a part of it. They are obstacles of growth, not tools of damnation.

Also this scripture helps me often: 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and my Father are one.

Love you brother. See you soon.
