hi friends:) just wanted to tell u that if u ever come across a puffer fish please try not to make him puff up. Puffer fish only do this when they feel extremely threatened and is one of their last resorts to escape. When they inflate the air forces their organs to the side of their bodies and when they eventually deflate they’re insides are stretched out and they’re much slower swimmers, greatly increasing their chances of getting caught and eaten by a bigger fish:/ I just learned this a little while ago and i figured i’d share because i know puffer fish are extremely cool to people when they come across one, but are unaware what a huge impact making them inflate has on their chances of surviving:)
