My child needs to be rushed to the ER, but first, let me take a selfie.

Not defending the selfie aspect because that is tacky, but I had a similar experience with a toddler I was babysitting. She had had a cold so she was red and puffy already. Then she apparently had a mild allergic reaction to her medicine and got even more red and puffy, but it was very slow and gradual. It wasn't anaphylactic, she was still playing, talking, laughing, running, as if everything was normal. So it wasn't a 911NOW situation but more if a "we sous take her to the ER situation" I sent photos to her parents so they came in a few minutes to get her and I tagged along to the ER. The desk attendant was like "aww poor baby" but she was still behaving healthy enough that they let her wait her turn in the waiting room, where she continued to play and act fine. After exam they prescribed a round of antihistamine for the next few days and all was ok. But just relating that the red puffiness was the only sign of reaction, there was still a gradual progression of time which pictures were in fact taken.
