This little bauble kit was in my cross stitch advent calendar, I posted about a while ago, from Kate J Blandford (she’s on Etsy and Instagram, and I think on Reddit too!). My family is in isolation and I can’t travel back home to be with my extended family for Christmas this year and last night I was feeling generally all around miserable, then I remembered to open my advent calendar for the day! This little kit was done in 1 evening and the sense of achievement really perked me right up!

The bauble is plastic which meant it was sometimes hard to get the needle through as there’s no give. I have a pack of super cheap poor quality needles and I snapped about 6 of them trying to force them through the holes when they were full of thread! That’s never happened to me before, it felt quite metal. The bauble looks gorgeous on the tree, the white really pops against the green and it makes me feel happy just to look at it!
