I think my dad is gay

Thank you. He sees LGBT as a quirky thing teenagers are into. I've talked about my support and my nb friends, but he laughs it off or says it's a phase every time. I don't come out of the closet for that same reason.

I understand he is a person with different facets and sexual complexities as all people are. He seems trapped and unable to show some sides of him, however. He lost all his friends after immigrating and works like a mule at home. It's upsetting to see that he is so hard on himself and has traditional values--it's what is keeping him from expressing his full identity. I am not against his values at all; it just does not align with who he can be.
