My dad is sending me to boot camp this month because I didn't get my hair cut the way he wanted but he didn't tell he how he wanted it. I was sobbing in the back off my work when he sent me these messages

I take the legal definition of abuse. I thought I made that apparent. Your definition of abuse is just looser than mine.

If we don't go by the legal definition then everything is left open to opinion:

Some people think giving their kids vaccine is abuse. If I say it's not, should I receive the same response as you just sent?

Some people think smoking around their kids is abuse. If I say it's not, should I receive the same response as you just sent?

Some people think giving their kid mountain dew or other sugary drinks often is abuse. If I say it's not, should I receive the same response as you just sent?

I could go on and on.

All those things aren't good ideas and not things I'd do, but they aren't abuse.

Again, OPs dad is an ass and based on the information given qualifies for this sub. I'm not arguing that, but it's not legally abuse from the information we have.
