My daughter is embarrassed just by saying the word "vagina" to the point that she cries

Thank you for your kind words. Everyone seems to want to label me a weirdo for worrying about apprehension to what should be a normal word.

She's embarrassed of her body likely due to her mother insisting that she and her brother use alternate words for their body. My daughter, more than my son, has to talk about these words more due to her frequent yeast infections. For the first part of her life (age 0 - 6) her birth mother had full custody and never taught her proper wiping after the bathroom.

We recently had a letter in the mail about a sex offender in the neighborhood. My wife has been in tears about it, worried about their safety. Of course we've been talking to the kids about the guy and avoiding his house, which spurred conversation about sex, body parts, etc.
