My doctor sabotaged my birth control

ither the doctor wrote the script wrong or the pharmacy billed it incorrectly.

Birth control comes in packs of 28, and usually that equals to a 28 day supply. If the doctor writes to skip placebos, the pharmacy dispenses a full pack but bills the insurance for a 21 day supply. But we have to bill as the doctor wrote it, so if the doctor forgets to write on the script for you to skip placebos insurance will reject your refills as too soon, because they think that you still have a week left and don't want to pay for it yet.

Call your pharmacy and make sure they billed it correctly and didn't forget to change the days supply on the billing. It's a pretty easy fix if the doctor wrote to skip placebos and they just missed it when entering the script. If not, you'll have to call your doctors office and try and get them to send over a new script.

You can buy just one pack out of pocket, and the pharmacy might be able to rebill and reimburse you once they get the script corrected.

I know how frustrating this crap is, I see it all the time as a tech. And I hate it cause if it wasn't on our end there's nothing I can do to fix it
