I am a retired dog groomer but someone threatened to sue me over this exact thing happening to their dog about 15 years ago. They had been coming to us since the dog was a puppy and this happened... Your dog is like an exact clone of that dog....

I broke a store rule to let them observe us bathing and grooming in the back start to finish to prove we did everything the same with all dogs unless the owners brought in prescription shampoo. I talked to vets that thought maybe we had put hydrogen peroxide in a shampoo bottle by mistake. The BEST vet that was "on my side" said "it was probably the cutting, sometimes hair grows back different after a clipping"...

You're telling me it's genetic?!? I want to scream right now and I haven't been a dog groomer for a dozen years at least lol
