You've been tricked by a redditard. Public school k-12 teaxhers in the US work an average of a little less than 38 hours per week including work they take home. Contacts are about 186 days per year, or a little less. It's a part time job. For this they receive an average total compensation of $100k. Half of the teaxhers in the US get more than $100k. For a part time job. That's an average of $71 per hour, inclusive of fringe benefits and perquisites. That's the equivilent of $133k for a full time job. Teachers don't deal with any "bullshit". They don't lift anything heavy. They are not exposed to extreme weather. They do not work in isolation. They don't have close supervision. They don't take entrepreneurial risks. They don't take physical risks. They enjoy the highest occupational prestige, among architects and Airline pilots. They don't do shift work. It's an easy job. And they overwhelmingly come from the bottom half of their classes at second and third rate colleges where they got lightweight training.

Reddit is about to shit its diaper and tell sad anecdotes about overworked, underpaid teaxhers, but these are irrefutable facts and none of the crybabies. will cite any data that contradicts them.
