My experience with intersectionality at an all girls private school, as a poorer student.

Imo acknowledging the privilege doesn’t help if it doesn’t comport with changed behavior. The wealthiest person I know will absolutely simper over how lucky she knows she is (this is also way more common now, in general) but it doesn’t fix the personality flaws inherent to growing up in that status. Main character syndrome is one of them - I’ve noticed it in every truly rich person I know. I don’t even know if I can blame them for that, though I can certainly dislike it. When you’re brought up knowing you can buy the building you feel way too comfortable in the room. All my middle-class friends are way better at sharing the limelight and tend to observe groups at length before trying to carve out a spot for themselves. The rich, nah, they just walk on in. Must suck to go to school with that.
