My experiences with depression and academic indifference

I have been feeling like this for the past few years as well. Just try to forgive yourself, it's easy to look back and go "oh I should/shouldn't have done that", but the truth is when we were in that position, most of us didn't have the necessary information or emotional support to make good decisions. That's really all there is to it. People make mistakes not because they are horrible human beings but because they simply don't know what's right, and there's no shame in that. It's taken me 21 years to have the slightest clue of how this world functions, and I wish I had known what I know now but that's simply impossible. Just do the best within your capabilities and be comfortable with that. We are all suffering in one way or another, don't take that as a sign of you being inferior.
