Has my eyes closed during class and professor tried to permanently kick me out of class. Now im being threatened with Disciplinary Action. Can Universities control this behavior? Do i have grounds for a civil suit?

I made them aware of my medical condition and they disregarded it.

I feel like i have certain autonomy for my body that the University shouldn't have any say over. Things like crossing my arms, leaning back, closing my eyes, I consider these things of this nature to be decisions that no one should be able to control. Im not harming or distracting anyone.

I wasnt asleep and they acknowledged that i wasnt asleep. Now they are telling me that i cant have my eyes closed for an extended period of time or they will prevent me from going back to class.

I just want to know if they can actually regulate or set policies on the students body like this? I understand that they can set policies about disruptive behavior, but i fail to understand how the state of my eyelids, or any other part of my body can be considered distracting or disruptive.
