As an immigrant to Australia I had to ask it to be explained to me (like, how is this not a regular dumpling?) and folks looked at me like I was brain damaged. It's pretty universal here, I am still not sure how it's not a regular dumpling.

Vegemite scrolls (think cinnamon bun style pastries but savory) are really good if you want to up the ante on the vegemite toast.

In terms of bush tucker fare, lemon myrtle is wonderful in gin and vodka cocktails if you're a drinker, and you might be able to buy it (assuming you're in the states).
