I think this is a fair review for the most part. The music does seem to be much more similar/generic at times , many songs are so similar they almost blend together in a sense .

I think there are a lot of standout tracks though , at least to me . Certain songs work so well for the boss like the rottens theme is one of the nastiest(?) sounding I've heard in the series . With the low chanting , I think they even use that indigenous Australian instrument for parts , same as the demon of song . Or velstatds theme has this heir of royalty and oppression to it (one of my favorite themes of the series)

Other notable mentions are Vendricks theme it is very simple and maybe "generic" sounding but it think it really captures the sadness and suprise that the protagonist must be feeling ( also worth noting the similarities of the majula theme and Vendricks , it's odd)

No one ever talks about Nashandras theme either but personally I think it's another one of the best , it sounds like something Danny Elfman would write . (Maybe my favorite theme from the entire series , next to gwyn and the abyss watchers)

And majula lol gotta be one of the best hub themes in the series.

Music is so subjective though so it's hard for me to say any of the DS2 music is objectively "good" , just good to me lol
