I have nothing against republicans, and I don't always support democrats... I live in Ohio and I would gladly vote for a republican like John Kasich.

My point of contention is that OP seems very eager to vote for a party that has overwhelmingly shown disregard for people of her kind (immigrants), or the average American for that matter by how they have voted in congress and the house of the last two years. It's less of judging someone for who they are and more of judging someone for supporting what I deem to be reprehensible. Basically the same way I would look at someone who doesn't believe in climate change, or someone who would support people who'd rationalize sexual assault.
