Honestly I wish I knew the answer to this problem. Just ranting here to vent some frustration lol. Had a regular playgroup for years that was destroyed when a roommate of the host joined and started winning 75%+ of games, complained whenever their stuff was destroyed even though the rest of us ran very little interaction in general, and would always be upset on the rare occasion someone else won. I went over a year winning a single real game and they never seemed to notice a thing lmao. Some people are just not very fun to play games with. My funniest memory is when I asked the group if I could play my CEDH deck for a game, and they were super interested to see how it works, then problem player got salty AF talking about how of course all the best cards are going to be better, completely oblivious to the irony.
