This doesn't surprise me at all. Where I live in the US, this is the new normal. If she complains to the school the problem will only escalate. She has to get a lawyer and involve the local police department and media. The school will do nothing but perpetuate the problem.

It's not just colleges either. You will see this in the high schools and middle schools too. I never thought about it being so widespread as it is now, but it's definitely a growing issue.

Our country is really falling apart. This is just one of the symptoms. Our school systems were falling apart long before this problem started. Most school employees, at all levels, are not paid well and stopped caring long ago. The few school employees who are paid well will go to great lengths to not upset the apple cart. It was just a matter of time before someone saw this as an opportunity to push their own agenda. In this case it's blacks, but if it wasn't them, it would just be another group of people with another agenda to push. I'm sure most of us are going to make a big race issue out of it, but the problem is so much deeper than that.
