Do you think my friend is homophobic?

More like they pretend to care and support because it fits the spirit of their teenage audience and they know they can safely capitalize on it.

Okay, well, you might be right about this, I'll do my research.

It seems like you are on the other side of things so may I ask you, why you didn't like your friend talking about lgbt? I mean if everything is about that I get that it's annoying. But lgbt is not a genre for music or film, it's most of the time just plain music by lgbt (sorry to use that again) people and film/shows that have some lgbt characters. Did that bother you specifically? I'm just asking to get a perspective on this, if you don't mind.

From my point of view, be it music or film I'm of course glad to be represented, and isn't all the same with just homoerotic undetones? I of course wouldn't recommend anything to my friend that is very sexual or anything cause I don't aim for making her uncomfotable but I don't understand why she sets herself aside from anything remotely 'gay'. I can't force on her anything nor do I want to but I just don't understand the perspective.
